I'm not happy with Paul and he knows it. He's over charged me for numerous things such as lighting, plumbing, flooring that he said was not listed in the contract. I feel like he's taken me for everything he can get. The work done so far isn't great but he reassures me that it is all to a high standard, but when the plaster board fell from the ceiling, how can that be safe? Yes he eventually got it fixed, but you can still see gaps between the old and new board. When my husband and I signed his contract over 18 months ago he said he would start work within six months, this didn't happen, and Paul just gave excuses for the delays. He's now increased the prices blaming Brexit, I am forced to pay. He knows my husband has now died, and with just my money now it's a struggle to find the extra money for all the work that was not planned. I have explained to him but he's still demanding more money. I wish this project would end because it is taking too long to complete even though Paul said it would take about 12 weeks, that's not the case.

Even more alarming is Touchstone Lofts' alleged practice of purchasing counterfeit 5-star reviews, a deplorable attempt to manipulate potential customers. It is disheartening to learn that the trust we place in online reviews can be so easily undermined by businesses more concerned with their image than genuine customer satisfaction. I thought it only moral to mention that I was originally offered payment by Paul from Touchstone Lofts to leave a five star review on his Google Review page. I did leave a review because I needed the money, but Paul never sent me any payment for it as he promised. I guess there are other students, like myself, who fell for his scam. Annoyed.

It's concerning that they include a non-disparagement clause in their contract. It makes me wonder if they lack confidence in their services. We only noticed this clause after posting our review, and if we had known about it beforehand, it would have been a major warning sign.
