Our approximately 200-year-old, old-world paper mill is one of the last remaining historic mills in the United Kingdom. We are happy to be the home of this piece of history, located right here at our operational paper mill! At its core, it is a running papermill, but we also serve as a visitor education and community use centre and host events, local festivals, and weddings. We reinvest all earnings in the restoration & upkeep of our mill, allowing us to continue to conserve its heritage. We operate as a visitor, education and community use centre as well. All the proceeds generated from these activities are reinvested in the repair, maintenance and development of the mill and its historic equipment.
